About the Company
Established in 2017, Infinite Orbits is a NewSpace company, based in Toulouse, pushing the boundaries of in-orbit services with cutting-edge spacecraft driven by its own Rendez-Vous solution, an advanced Autonomous Vision-Based Navigation Solution. IO has two generations of missions
"Orbit Guard" provides Inspection and Space Situational Awareness services in GEO. Our first, OG-1 was launched on 1 May 2023, the second is launching in 2025 and the third third launching in 2026.
"Endurance" is a docking service capable of extending the life of GEO telecom satellites, by taking over AOCS takeover for 5 years.
We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure supplier compliance and performance across the entire project lifecycle (from design to delivery) - in a New Space environment.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure supplier quality throughout the project lifecycle, from design to delivery.
- Define and monitor supplier quality gates aligned with project milestones (PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, TRB, DRB).
- Monitor supplier compliance with technical and contractual requirements.
- Review and validate supplier deliverables in coordination with the Delivery Manager.
- Drive supplier non-conformance resolution and continuous improvement actions.
- Plan and perform supplier audits and on-site visits based on risk and criticality.
- Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Delivery, AIT and Product Assurance teams to ensure supplier performance.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of supplier quality processes.
The position requires occasional to frequent travel to suppliers.
Le profil recherché
Requirements
- Degree in Aerospace, Systems, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, with a Systems Engineering mindset and understanding of requirements flow-down, interfaces, and V&V.
- 3-7 years experience in satellite product assurance, quality assurance, or AIT, ideally in New Space or traditional space projects.
- Knowledge of Space industry standards (ECSS, NASA, MIL-STD), Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, AS9100), Risk Management (FMEA, AMDEC) and familiarity with configuration management and non-conformance management.
- Experience in audit and evaluation methods, particularly with suppliers
- Risk management, ability to adapt monitoring based on criticality assessment
- Hands-on experience with inspection, workmanship verification, test witnessing, and validation of as-built configurations.
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills : Negotiation & Assertiveness, Problem-solving, Cross-functional collaboration (with Delivery Manager, Engineering, Procurement), with ability to interact with customers, suppliers, and engineering teams. Ability to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team and in an agile manner.
- Fluent in English (technical level); French desirable.
Good to have:
- Familiarity with quality management tools and NCR databases (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet).
- Knowledge of space-sector constraints, particularly regarding the manufacturing of Hardwares in a clean environment (cleanrooms).
- Fluency in French and/or experience in an international satellite project environment.
