About the Company
Established in 2017, Infinite Orbits is a NewSpace company, based in Toulouse, pushing the boundaries of in-orbit services with cutting-edge spacecraft driven by its own Rendez-Vous solution, an advanced Autonomous Vision-Based Navigation Solution. IO has two generations of missions
"Orbit Guard" provides Inspection and Space Situational Awareness services in GEO. Our first, OG-1 was launched on 1 May 2023, the second is launching in 2025 and the third third launching in 2026.
"Endurance" is a docking service capable of extending the life of GEO telecom satellites, by taking over AOCS takeover for 5 years.
We are seeking a motivated Situational Space Awareness (SSA) Intern to join our dynamic and international team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Navigation and System Engineering Departments while contributing to innovative projects that are shaping the future of in-orbit services.
Job Description
- Analyse data from space-based sensors to survey the GEO belt.
- Support the team in preparing technical deliverables for the customer.
- Conduct research on sensor capacity to fulfil mission requirements.
- Collaborate with the GNC and System Engineering teams to elaborate mission analysis.
- Participate in mission and satellite design discussions.
- Proceed to simulations of missions using Infinite Orbits tools (also participate in the development of these tools).
Le profil recherché
Requirements
- Students doing a Master's degree or equivalent, specifically in the field of Aerospace/Space Engineering or related discipline, available for a minimum of 5 months internship.
- Knowledge of satellite architectures, subsystems, Flight Dynamics, control systems and space environments.
- Strong interest in optical payloads and communication subsystems.
- Coding skills in Matlab/Simulink as well as Python.
- Excellent abstraction and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
- PhD students residing anywhere and available for a minimum of 3 months.
